SS&C also services mutual fund structures in many other fund domiciles.Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role.

Together, we foster a supportive culture that values growth, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, offering valuable insights into the intersection of accounting and investment management.What You Will Get To Do:The Fund Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the accounting records and financial reporting for superannuation funds.
This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and supports the preparation of accurate and timely financial and regulatory APRA reporting.
The Fund Accountant works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as auditors, custodians and trustees to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting for several superannuation funds.This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Newcastle.Review daily cashflows, daily bank reconciliations, monthly bank and general ledger (GL) reconciliationsPrepare and post monthly GL journals and support assistant fund accounting in investigation of reconciliation differencesPrepare monthly portfolio reconciliation between member registry and investment administrationAssist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including monthly management reporting, annual statutory, quarterly and annual APRA, and payment times reporting.Preparation of BAS and IASUndertake control self-assessment testing and support external/internal audit assurance programs.Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for the Fund Accounting Team.What You Will Bring:3 years' experience in superannuation financial reporting/fund accounting and APRA reportingBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.RG146 or studying towardsProfessional qualifications or studying towards such as CPA, ACCA, CAHighly proficient in Excel and working with large volumes of data.Experience in superannuation fund accounting and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software and systems (e.g.
