Where you'll be workingThe role is based at Westmead Hospital, a key site in a $1 billion state health infrastructure project.
This redevelopment will create one of Australia's largest health and research precincts.
Westmead is evolving with significant growth and investment. The precinct will offer cutting-edge, integrated healthcare facilities. The project ensures high-quality healthcare for the long term. What you'll be doingAs part of the Specialist Intellectual Disability Health Team, you'll provide vital administrative support for our service.
Your role includes:
Handling admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently. Managing records, data entry, and database maintenance. Scheduling services and appointments and overseeing correspondence. Performing general clerical tasks like filing, typing, and copying. Preparing and distributing agendas, minutes, and related documents. Supporting the team with diary management and operational tasks. Selection Criteria: Demonstrated experience in reception and general administration in a high demand team oriented environment, ideally in a similar administrative support role in a complex team. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent customer service skills to ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders especially with patients with complex disabilities. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise own work and carry out tasks and job responsibilities with attention to detail and accuracy to meet deadlines. Demonstrated high level computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft and Windows based applications and email systems and/or experience in other information and record keeping systems. Understanding of, and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve quality service outcomes. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work activities to achieve work outcomes. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
