Within the newly formed Customer Experience group, joining the Hardware Experience team, the role of Manager – Packaging Experience will support our mission to change lives and transform how we deliver our products to the people we serve.
The role will lead and nurture a diverse, collaborative, and hardworking team of designers, engineers, and creatives focused on delivering a Packaging Experience that supports our best-in-class product and experience.

This role will bring opportunities for continual learning and development while helping to define our strategy, enabling tech, and process to achieve our vision and sustainability response.

Responsibilities
Product Team Influence Lead the research, design, testing, and production-implementation of new product packaging.
Proactively track industry trends, technologies, materials, and developments with a strong focus on sustainable packaging solutions.
Ensure compliance with ResMed quality systems and standards, developing requirements pertaining to packaging.
Ensure the team works to regulatory requirements such as the FDA and MDR.
Nurture and develop talent to build packaging capability for ResMed.
Organisational Influence Provide packaging design and development leadership, consultation, and strategy to management; leveraging insight, experience, and knowledge.
Contribute significantly to organizational objectives directly affecting the customer experience for products.
Design for a positive impact on ResMed's sustainability targets, including but not limited to product carbon impact, product and packaging recycling, and global freight and logistics.
Elevate packaging experience within the business, guiding and mentoring others to ensure a unified approach and methodology.
Market Influence Work towards the aspiration that ResMed's packaging portfolio is recognized as industry best practice.
Support ResMed's product and experience vision.
Set new industry standards for holistic customer experience and sustainability in packaging.

To excel as Manager – Packaging Experience, you will need to be a strong communicator with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving and a proven ability to understand complex requirements from a diverse customer base.
The skills of a great Manager – Packaging Experience should also include:
Customer-first Mindset Deep understanding of our customers' experiences and the role packaging plays, with the passion to continuously evolve and influence the way we design and develop packaging.

Strategic & Visionary Thinking Develop and execute a packaging solutions portfolio that is strategically aligned with the company's global business objectives, while appreciating cultural nuances and preferences in different regions.

Inspirational Leadership Able to inspire teams through a deeply considered vision that empowers individuals and teams, igniting enthusiasm and fostering collaboration.

Technical Proficiency Strong understanding of packaging design and development principles, materials, and processes.
Ability to nurture and coach these capabilities and keep abreast of emerging trends.

Ability to Influence Influence the organization to drive customer-centric and sustainable packaging, focused on design excellence.

To get us really excited, you will have the above attributes and the following qualifications and experience:
Experience in new product or packaging development and volume manufacturing environment.
Manufacturing process and materials knowledge for diverse types of packaging solutions.
Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
Working within a strict quality system and regulatory environment.
Experience or readiness to lead and develop a team.
Degree or tertiary qualification in packaging engineering or design, industrial design, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
Demonstrated capability and experience in packaging or product design and engineering.
Experience in design for global freight and logistics is highly desirable.
