As a Business Manager in the Office of the Assistant Under Treasurer, you'll lead a busy team supporting the divisional needs, providing high-level advice and strategic support on major business and governance issues relating to the Department and whole of Government issues. In this role, you'll be part of a diverse and talented team.Here's what we're looking for:Demonstrated experience supporting a busy executive office, with the ability to anticipate needs, problem solve and provide proactive support to your team, senior leadership and the broader team.Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to inspire and coordinate a diverse team towards achieving departmental and divisional goals, and the agility to adapt to diverse and evolving demands.Proficiency in the use of government-specific tools and software for finance, administration, project management, and collaboration, ensuring the efficient operation of divisional activities.A good understanding of government policies, procedures, and ethical standards to ensure compliance in all aspects of business operations.Discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential and sensitive information, maintaining the privacy and security of executive communications.As part of this role, some duties will include:Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Assistant Under Treasurer and the management of the division's business support team, ensuring effective and timely management of divisional responsibilities and that secretariat functions required by the division are successfully delivered.Manage the preparation, review and finalisation of executive documents and coordinate submissions, documentation, proposals, and initiatives requiring total portfolio or divisional responses, contributing a strategic perspective on behalf of the Assistant Under Treasurer.Coordinate Senior Leadership Team meetings and support the provision of authoritative, professional, and timely advice to the Assistant Under Treasurer and Senior Leadership Team on complex portfolio and divisional issues particularly related to the implementation and management of divisional risk, procurement and human, financial and information management resources.Maintain and develop strong and effective relationships, work collaboratively, and negotiate extensively with senior management, divisional staff, other areas of the department and external stakeholders as required, to manage and monitor projects and policy initiatives and report on their progress and outcomes.Obtain relevant advice and maintain liaison with key areas of the department to ensure timely resolution of issues, remaining abreast of emerging issues impacting on the division and providing advice to the Assistant Under Treasurer and other executives as required.Join our team and be part of our legacy.
