Consultant Geriatrician Subacute Ambulatory Clinics – CDAMS, Complex Care and Falls and Balance Clinic Limited Term Part Time, commencing 3rd February is 3rd August 2025Wantirna and Yarra Ranges HealthSix month Sabbatical Cover in Subacute Ambulatory Specialist Clinics About the role We require a geriatrician in our Care@Home Program to provide sessional work in our multidisciplinary clinics:
Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service (3.5 hours per week)Complex Care Clinic (7.0 hours per week)Falls and Balance clinic (3.5 hours per week) The role involves working in a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessment of patients referred to these clinics.
Additional duties include attendance at relevant service, craft group and case conference meetings, and supervision of junior medical staff.
Total clinical hours will be 14 hours a week, with work days required on Mondays and Fridays.
However, depending on the commitments of the respective applicants and requirements of the relevant clinics, days of work can be negotiated.
About you To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current registration as a consultant Geriatrician with AHPRAFellow Royal Australasian College of PhysiciansHighly developed interpersonal and leadership experienceA strong commitment to high quality careThe ability to work as part of a diverse teamExcellent communication and organisational skills Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
