This includes the evolution of workstations, managing office automation tools, collaboration, videoconference and telephony.Reporting to the Director, Desktop Support and International Offices, as Advisor, Technical Support for the Sydney office, the incumbent provides support, maintenance and troubleshooting for computers, peripherals and software following established standards. The advisor contacts users, follows up on their requests and ensures they are completed. The advisor provides support to the Sydney office and other offices in the Asia-Pacific region.What you will doEnsure contact with users regarding their incidentsAnalyze requests, diagnose and resolve software and hardware issuesProactively follow up on requests and ensure communication with usersInstall, configure, maintain, and relocate computers and peripheralsParticipate in production deployments according to established standardsDocument the problem resolution process for each interventionDocument installation and repair proceduresParticipate in tasks related to various projects associated with the workstationProvide basic training on toolsProvide on-call support outside of office hoursFollow up with suppliers for various initiativesAct as the first point of contact for service requests related to equipment, software, applications, and network issues/Escalate high-priority issues to the directorProvide training and first-level technical support for all major business applications used by CDPQ employeesResponsible for IT onboarding of new hires and departuresWho you areAmbitionAccountabilityOpennessCollaborationTeam spirit and ease of communicationEase and ability to adviseTolerance for ambiguity, ability to simplify proposed solutionsOrganizational skills, autonomy, and rigorInitiative spiritWhat you bringStrong customer service skills with excellent interpersonal qualitiesMinimum 5 years of experience as a desktop technicianUnderstanding of the reality of international supportProficiency in English, both spoken and writtenAbility to work under pressureStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent knowledge of Windows, Office 365 (MacOS is an asset)Organizational and responsibility skills, team spiritAbility to install and move computer equipment as neededAustralian citizen or Permanent Resident preferredFeeling that my role is important.
