Our client is a leading Sovereign Wealth Fund, committed to creating long-term value through strategic investments in private markets.
With a growing focus on technology and data-driven decision-making, our client is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to spearhead the development of cutting-edge data infrastructure and analytics capabilities within their Private Markets team.
Role:
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead with expertise in data engineering, analytics, and modeling to oversee and optimize their data environments.
The successful candidate will have strong experience working with Databricks, Lakehouse architectures, and PowerBI in dynamic, multi-faceted environments.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for driving the design and execution of data strategies for private markets, particularly with an emphasis on ESG considerations and unlisted investments.
You will play a critical role in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to productionize data and build scalable, impactful solutions.
Consulting backgrounds are highly preferred, given the need for a dynamic, flexible approach to solving complex business and technical problems.
Responsibilities:
Lead Data Engineering efforts in the Private Markets space, leveraging advanced technologies including Databricks, Lakehouse, and PowerBI to build robust data models and reporting solutions.
Design and implement data pipelines, ensuring the efficient collection, processing, and integration of data for decision-making across various private markets portfolios.
Lead the development of dashboards and reporting tools, focusing on PowerBI and other BI tools, to provide critical insights to stakeholders across the organization.
Partner with ESG teams to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance data into the overall investment and risk modeling processes.
Ensure data is productionized for broader areas of the business, making it scalable and accessible to a range of teams.
Provide consulting expertise to key stakeholders, ensuring data solutions are aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
Collaborate across teams (technical, business, and executive) to drive innovative solutions and build a data-driven culture.
Oversee the maintenance and optimization of data environments and systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and future-proof.
Ensure data solutions are aligned with best practices in terms of governance, security, and compliance, especially in the context of unlisted investments and fintech environments.
Skills:
Proven experience as a Technical Lead in a data engineering or similar role, with extensive hands-on experience working in private markets.
Strong expertise in Databricks, Lakehouse architecture, and PowerBI for data modeling, visualization, and reporting.
Solid experience in data engineering, modeling, and integration in complex, multi-environment settings.
ESG integration experience, particularly as it relates to private markets and investment decision-making.
Strong background in consulting roles, with a track record of solving complex data challenges in high-impact business environments.
Ability to productionize data and ensure that it is scalable, accessible, and impactful across the organization.
Familiarity with managing data in multi-cloud and hybrid environments, with a focus on performance optimization and data reliability.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
