About the CompanyQuinn Allan has been retained by an industry leading listed organisation to help identify an Assistant Manager to join their team.
2IC to the Head of Tax, this role will have broad responsibility managing all tax compliance requirements and advising the broader organisation on the implication of tax changes.
This role has hybrid working and would suit an experienced Tax professional who is keen to utilise their technical skills and hands-on accounting experience.
About the PositionJoining a tax team undergoing a maturity phase, this role will use both technical and hands-on skills to ensure tax compliance in a timely manner.
The Assistant Manager will ensure accuracy of records, support adherence across the group to taxation policies and will ensure the maintenance of effective tax governance.
This is a hands-on position which will undertake tasks such as tax effect accounting, completing tax returns, advising business units and ensuring compliance.
Main Responsibilities Include: Preparing income tax returns for global entities in compliance with regulatory requirements.Preparation of income tax returns in line with appropriate legislation.Preparation of annual and half-yearly tax effect accounting and related disclosures.Maintain statutory registers.Preparation of relevant returns for indirect tax.Keeping informed with legislative changes and their impact on the organisation.About YouFor success in this role, you will have a technical tax background with hands-on accounting experience.
You will have spent several years in industry or extensive secondment experience if you come from a practice background.
Minimum 5 years of tax and accounting experience in practice with strong industry exposure / industry tax trained with hands-on experience of preparing taxes, tax effect accounting, etc.Knowledge of tax legislation and an ability to interpret changing legislation.Strong corporate tax experience.Knowledge of financial reporting as it relates to tax effect accounting.Experience of managing senior stakeholders.How to ApplyPlease click 'Apply' to submit your resume online or call Dale Amond on for a confidential discussion.
