About the role We are seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager to join our specialist tax advisory/transaction team who work on a wide range of clients, transactions, and industries.
The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for the preparation and delivery of complex tax advice to clients and staff.
The candidate will be technically proficient, up to date with developments in tax law, and excited to be a junior leader in the growing, highly skilled SW advisory practice.
Key Responsibilities Research and drafting complex tax advicePreparation and submission of rulings and objections with the relevant revenue authoritiesDue diligence and merger and acquisition activitiesStructuring and transaction advisory services including structuring property development projectsReview of legal agreements, product disclosure statements, and information memorandumsTax technical publicationsIdentification and development of existing and potential business opportunitiesProvide feedback, coaching, and technical support to staff membersSkills and experience A minimum of 3 years' experience in a taxation environment in a law firm, Big 4 or mid-tier practice, or multinational corporateStrong problem-solving skillsTechnically proficient with knowledge of the latest taxation lawAbility to review the work of junior members of staff and identify any issues and value-add opportunitiesPrior experience working with and developing good working relationships with clientsExcellent time management and ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines whilst managing multiple transactionsAbility to demonstrate strong leadership skills and mentor, coach, and manage junior staff membersAbility to network in order to utilise individual expertise within the FirmPresent professionally and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skillsBest kept secrets of SW Progressive firm, with excellent career opportunitiesFlexible working environmentFully funded Master of Taxation2 additional AL days per year18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 3 weeks for non-primaryRefer to client and refer a friend bonus schemeEmployee Assistance Program and Wellness perks$1000 towards home office setupSocial ClubTailored Learning and Development ProgramPaid Course/study leave1 paid professional membership per yearWeekly lunch providedApply today Create your own individual story and become a part of ours.
