About the role This position is responsible for providing leadership, direction and support to the family services specialist staff, including Early Help, Disability and Early Parenting, to deliver early intervention, innovative wrap around outreach family support service to Aboriginal children and their families in East Metro region.
The role proactively ensures broad engagement with other VACCA programs.
This position is responsible for all service delivery duties including providing guidance and case direction to staff regularly when required, providing regular professional reflective supervision, supporting practice development and coaching as well as CSNet data monitoring and exportation.
The Team Leader will receive regular professional reflective supervision from the Family Services Program Manager.
About You Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA's vision and purpose.Required to hold a tertiary qualification in social work, youth work, psychology or a related discipline.Minimum 1 year of experience within a Leadership role.Good understanding of the Family Violence and Child Protection sectors, including working knowledge of comprehensive risks assessments such as MARAM.Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and practice frameworks of the service sector.Relevant work experience supporting child development, family functioning, trauma theories, comprehensive risk assessment, and service interventions for vulnerable children and their families.Experience in team leading case managers in the human services sector or related services and providing professional supervision.Leadership and management experience in program implementation, managing funded targets, completing required performance reporting and brokerage tracking.Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.What we can offer you A supportive environment that includes comprehensive induction.The support of regular internal supervision.Professional development and training opportunities.Attractive salary packaging to increase your take-home pay.17.5% loading on annual leave.Access to agency vehicles for all work-related travel.Access to Employee support and wellbeing programs.Paid parental leave after 12 months of ongoing employment.Opportunity to work and build connection with the Aboriginal Community and culture.Fitness Passport - allowing you (and your family) access to any of the facilities available on this program.Applications should include a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria and current resume.
