DESF provides staff to various SIL Providers in WA with services from administration to disability support workers.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Support Staff members to join our team at DESF
We have several positions available between Perth and Mandurah.
As a Disability Support Staff member, your main responsibilities will include:
Providing direct support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activitiesAssisting with personal care tasks as neededImplementing person-centered support plansEngaging individuals in social and recreational activitiesAssisting with transportation and accompanying individuals to appointments or outingsDocumenting individual progress and any incidents according to established procedures.This is a position that requires a compassionate and understanding approach towards working with people with disabilities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to promoting independence and empowerment for participants in our care.

Desired Skills and ExperienceExperience in providing support and care for individuals with disabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamUnderstanding the principles of person-centered support.Empathy, patience, and compassion towards individuals with disabilitiesAbility to adapt to different environments and situationsUnderstanding of health and safety regulations in a disability support settingCertification or relevant training in disability support or related field is desirable
