The Role: We have a permanent opportunity for a Project Engineer based in Perth with the requirement for occasional site travel.
About The Role: We are looking for a project engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years recent experience working in Australia on civil construction projects.
You will be providing engineering support, technical advice and guidance to the delivery team, and will have a significant estimating function.
You will be delivering across multiple scopes - forecasting, planning, managing subcontractors and supervisors to ensure works are delivered safely to a high standard in line with project objectives.
Key responsibilities include: Interpretation of designs for implementation in construction projects.Work with the senior engineer to undertake estimating for DCL tender submissions.Monitor construction progress for adherence to the program.Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities.Undertake cost, revenue and productivity tracking and reporting functions.Coordinate and oversee onsite construction activities including the management of subcontractors and staff.Provide support and technical assistance to our supervisors.Oversee and support the procurement of materials and resources.Assist with data and information collection to facilitate end of month cost and budget reviews.Assist with preparing and undertaking Inspection & Test Plans, inspection checklists and work packs to ensure quality requirements are captured.Obtain approvals for additional work outside the original contract/project scope of work prior to implementation.Maintaining up to date project documentation including clearly documenting all delays.Attend and drive project meetings with clients, lessons learnt and CRAW.Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.Implement project specific HSEQ Management plans and establish site HSEQ systems.Review, provide advice and assist with the implementation, monitoring and review of risk management strategies and mitigation measures across the Project.About You: Australian Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural).5+ years post graduate relevant engineering experience working in Australia on civil construction projects within a project delivery environment.A strong focus on positive safety outcomes.Technical knowledge to interpret drawings, specifications and quality records.Experience in estimating to support tender submissions.Experience in procurement and deals with suppliers to ensure maximum cost efficiencies.Competency with Project Document Management Systems.Excellent people and project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal customers and external suppliers/subcontractors.Attention to detail with the ability to solve problems.High standard of computer skills and practical experience of the MS Office suite of products.OHS Construction Induction White card.Current Western Australian Drivers Licence.What We Offer: An excellent opportunity for career growth and development in a high-performance environment.Full time position.Monday to Friday with weekend work as required.Opportunity to thrive, develop and grow in a high-performing environment.We are committed to attracting, developing and retaining the right people.Collegial, friendly and flexible work environment.Ongoing training and development opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
