Our Opportunity As National Manager, Retail Development, you will be responsible for the strategic majors relationships, masterplanning, planning and repositioning of retail assets to ensure delivery of the Retail strategy.
As the Owner's representative, provide leadership and direction to the Commercial Mixed Use and Group Development Team on operational design and delivery requirements for the Mixed Use component of the Retail Portfolio to ensure assets maximize returns to Mirvac.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responsible for Authorities relationships in all asset catchments.
Relationships must be a genuine and ongoing one, facilitating solutions to complex planning, legal and infrastructure issues for assets both operationally and future development.Owners' representative for Retail Supermarkets, Cinemas, Service Stations, Discount Department Stores, Hardware and Tyre Auto "Majors" across Mirvac Group responsible for maximizing transaction investment outcomes and co-creation and partnership opportunities beyond standard leasing deals.
This will extend to the entire group and collaboration will be required with Residential, Industrial, BTR, New Business and Group Development & Office to service Mirvac's broader Majors needs and best interests.Responsible for all majors' negotiations including design oversight in collaboration with Retail Design & Delivery Team.Develop portfolio masterplan opportunities and work with Portfolio Managers to ensure inclusion of strategy, time and cost in SAP's.Lead masterplanning, authority and design consultants required to deliver on Retail specific development and multi-modal monetisation revenue opportunities in collaboration with Asset Management Retail team.Actively work with the Investment & CMU team and be the owner's representative for Investment division to deliver masterplans, mixes and operational and activation strategies for Mirvac Mixed Use projects which require Retail expertise.
This includes attendance at all Mixed use and New Business PCGs, ERGs and the coordination of revenue, design and usage inputs across the Retail business.Your point of difference You will have a proven track record of extensive Retail Major transactions and significant partnership and authority management capabilities as well as masterplanning and operating environment development experience with proven successful outcomes.You will be an innovator with the ability to think outside the box to resolve asset repositioning and performance goals meaning you will have an entrepreneurial and curious mindset with a keen interest in accelerating business outcomes.Proven track record in building a strong external network and relationships which lead to new business.Strong commercial/financial acumen with experience in the preparation of strategy, business case, feasibility study and financial models.All of these attributes are preferred; if you think you may be the right fit for the role please still apply.
