Senior Innovation And Research Officer

This role is crucial to the operations of the NIISQ Agency research and education program.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing and delivering small research projects and sponsorships that benefit NIISQ participants, the Scheme and/or the Agency.
You will help analyse and evaluate research findings and provide high level advice to leadership and other internal and external stakeholders on the NIISQ Agency's research and education program.
You will be required to manage an array of research and education projects and sponsorship opportunities to achieve successful outcomes for the National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (NIISQ Agency), Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and Nominal Defendant (ND) (collectively referred to as the Motor Accident Insurance Schemes Queensland or MAIS-Q).
The employing entity for this role is NIISQ Agency.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritise research, education and program projects and sponsorship opportunities.
Contribute to research project design in alignment with policy and frameworks, and make recommendations for decision makers.
Build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and manage the progress of research and sponsorship projects, including compliance with contractual obligations and provide progress reports to senior management and executive outlining performance, expenditure, issues, risks, and associated management strategies.
Collaborate with the NIISQ Agency Innovation Team, the MAIC research function and the Project Management Office to ensure research and innovation projects are scoped, prioritised, and resourced in alignment with the organisation's project roadmap.
Work with the team to design, develop and coordinate internal communications relating to the research and education program including liaising with NIISQ communications to help promote research initiatives through the intranet and other mediums.
Provide administrative support to the Manager, which could include coordinating activities, scheduling meetings, taking notes, following-up and liaising with researchers/institutions.
Facilitate workshops with internal stakeholders to present research projects.
