Flexible on locationHybrid work arrangementTravel requiredReporting to the General Manager - Policy & Program Delivery, this role is responsible for managing the delivery of conferences and events.
About the role: Manage the end-to-end delivery of PSA conferences according to the product (conference) brief including:Work with the Training & Education, Consulting & Partnerships Team to optimise and manage the annual PSA event calendar in consultation with Product Managers, Project Managers and State Managers.Support the Partnerships Lead with exhibitions and sponsorship.Facilitate conference evaluation in collaboration with other parts of the value chain to measure success and foster a culture of process enhancement and continuous improvement.Contribute to and update PSA event policies and processes.Work through the state-based teams and volunteers to manage and conduct events and perform pre- and post-conference activities.Travel as required within the duties of this position.About you: Qualification in event management, marketing or hospitality management (or equivalent); and/or demonstrated experience in managing large events from end to end including planning, budgeting, logistics, supplier procurement, problem solving and decision making.Ability to be a self-starter, work autonomously within a team environment, and lead a team to deliver engaging and quality events.Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work to deliver required outcomes within required timeframes.Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships including the ability to effectively negotiate and manage conflicts.Commercially minded with solid contract negotiation, establishment and administration skills.Sound IT skills and competency in Microsoft Office suite of programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases (e.g. Salesforce) with a strong desire to utilise new and emerging technologies.Strong financial and business acumen including budgeting and forecasting with the ability to set KPIs and meet financial targets.Experience in the use of digital event technologies such as webinar or videoconference platforms.What we will provide: The flexibility to work in ways that meet your work/life commitments and support your wellbeing.A safe and inclusive environment where diverse backgrounds, perspectives and identities are celebrated.A supportive management team who will help you reach your career goals and providing ongoing opportunities to grow and make a real difference.A culture in which staff are encouraged to be ourselves and empowered to perform at our best, where successes are celebrated, and where we work together to create better experiences for our members and for each other.About Us We are the national peak professional body for pharmacists, representing Australia's pharmacists working across all sectors of healthcare.
