About the Role
We are currently looking for a
Senior Estimator/Cost Planner
to join our Brisbane team.
This will be someone that loves to come up with strategies to win work and work with those around them to achieve, but who still loves to be hands on when it comes to cost planning for repeat and ECI business, and hard dollar tendering.You will have previous experience working on a broad range of tenders and cost plans, including multi-story residential, retail, and industrial, anywhere between $5M-$100M.As the preferred candidate you will:Be proficient in Buildsoft and/or CostX.Excel at assessing project details and client expectations on D&C projects that are not fully documented.Excel at building relationships with local subcontractors and understanding the local market.A strong QS background is highly desirable.Work closely with operational team members on tender programs and buildability.Prepare subcontractor packages, the bill of quantities and help own strategies for tender submissions.Conduct post tender negotiations.Prepare contract and costing documentation for the construction teams.Have confidence to be client facing.At McNab we recruit people who want more than just the average job, we want people who thrive in an environment where:You work closely with key leaders in the business to own and drive successful outcomes.You act with curiosity and confidence when it comes to business decisions and how to create results.Your ideas aren't just listened to, they are relied on to make key business decisions.You are involved in a range of business activities to support and improve decision making.You are continually learning and prepared to mentor others in the team.About McNab
