Kogarah Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Full-Time Head Veterinary Nurse to join our compassionate and skilled team.
As the Head Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting our nursing team to provide high-quality care for our patients and exceptional service for our clients.

Your Role: As our Head Veterinary Nurse, you will oversee and guide our nursing team, ensuring that clinical protocols are adhered to, and the hospital is running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Leading and mentoring a team of veterinary nurses, ensuring excellent patient care and efficient workflow.
Coordinating nursing services, assisting with surgeries, administering medications, and managing treatment plans.
Maintaining high standards of patient care, cleanliness, and organization within the hospital.
Assisting with client communication and offering support in consultations and follow-up care.
Training and developing junior veterinary nurses and supporting their professional growth.
Working closely with veterinarians to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.
What We Are Looking For: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary nursing role, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
A passion for animal care and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve under pressure.
Experience in handling surgeries, medical treatments, and general veterinary procedures.
