Our Laboratory Technicians are responsible for routine preparation and testing of a wide variety of samples, alongside other operational tasks that ensure efficient laboratory function.
This role is an entry-level position based at our Hamilton site. The Day to DayPreparing samples and carrying out testing in a timely manner.Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment and instrumentation.Abiding by guidelines detailed in the ISO17025 standard.Acquiring a sound understanding of Health & Safety awareness and practices.Active participation in continuous improvement projects, including upkeep of established processes.The EssentialsYou enjoy a fast-paced working environment and can work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.You are self-motivated and can remain focused while completing repetitive tasks.You possess excellent time management skills and have the flexibility to cope with changing priorities throughout the day.You are a reliable team player with a willingness to learn and improve.You follow written and verbal instructions accurately with a keen attention-to-detail.You can communicate effectively with colleagues and management.Have a reliable mode of transport to Ruakura Research Centre in Hamilton.Everyone mattersALS is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where the strengths and perspectives of each employee are both recognised and valued.
EligibilityTo be eligible to work at ALS you must be a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or either hold or be able to obtain, a valid working visa.
