Health Information Services (HIS) Clerk - Based at William Angliss Hospital 2 Year Fixed Term Contract - Full Time Position Monday to Friday (some weekend work may be required on occasion) 38 hours per week, or 40 hours per week with monthly day off Based onsite only, located at Angliss Hospital (Upper Ferntree Gully) Eastern Health Eastern Health is one of Melbourne's largest public health services.

About the role We have an exciting opportunity for for an individual to join our dynamic Health Information Services team at the William Angliss Hospital in Upper Ferntree Gully.
In the role of Health Information Services Clerk, you will be responsible for collating, preparing and scanning patient medical records in a timely manner, to ensure that they are accessible for electronic viewing by our clinical staff to support ongoing patient care.
We are seeking a positive and motivated individual, with great attention to detail to join our cohesive team in this behind-the-scenes position.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: - Prepping and scanning paper medical records - Uploading documentation received electronically - Undertaking quality checking activities - Reception duties - Undertaking ward round collections of medical records You also may also be asked to perform other clerical and administrative duties as needed.
Occasionally, you may assist with tasks related to our Release of Information/Information Release service.
Please be aware, that this position requires you to be onsite at all times, as remote work is not an option in this role.
About you To be successful in this role you will possess: Experience using computers and Microsoft Office (i.e.
Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) An ability to prioritise and organise your workload effectively and efficiently A high standard of accuracy Demonstrated ability to provide good customer service An ability to follow written and verbal instructions Excellent written and verbal communication skills A good understanding of the importance of patient confidentiality A strong commitment to high quality care Experience in a similar role (desired) Please refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.
