Technology Project Manager - Financial Crime Westpac Banking Corporation Sydney, Australia Job Description Permanent role Kent Street, Sydney based Career growth and development How will I help? As a Project Manager, you will oversee IT project management within Financial Crimes Systems (FCS).
This includes managing systems such as Net Reveal, Quantexa, EDW, and DDEP, as well as programs like UNITE.
The scope of work in FCS interacts with various systems and programs across Westpac.
Key Responsibilities: Project management: Monitor and report to the Program/Project Leadership on status of financials, risks, issues and progress towards milestones and deliverables.
Estimation and financial management: Preparation of cost estimates (according to the Group business and technology estimation process) of submissions for funding approval and subsequently report project delivery against agreed costs.
Risk & issue management: Identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues and/or problems associated with services and/or delivery in the project.
Stakeholder management: Engagement and informing of stakeholders, particularly the service delivery teams who will be responsible for the technology services after project completion, and key business stakeholders to ensure stakeholders remain informed throughout the project.
Best practice and compliance: Ensuring adherence to enterprise methodologies and processes, such as the Project Execution Framework methodology (PEFm) and Solution Engineering Lifecycle (SELC).
Provide input to develop and improve such methodologies and processes to meet best practice and ensure regulatory and legal compliance of all work on the project.
Partner and vendor management: Daily interactions with partners and vendors are essential to deliver project solutions, while monitoring and reporting on progress and performance against agreed deliverables and standards.
This ensures quality outcomes, cost-effectiveness, appropriate risk management, and seamless integration with other project delivery streams.
People management: People Management, where required, to ensure the required capability is available to deliver project outcomes.

Experience within the project environment: Large project up to $10m Managing diverse project team across many providers Project Impact: high Project Risk: high Multiple end deliverable Several business areas affected Experience with external partners Managing interdependencies Exposure and basic understanding of the concepts/methodologies/systems associated with project management through having worked in a project delivery environment in some capacity.
Extensive experience working in large and complex organizations.
Significant experience in the financial services industry.
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience desirable.
Certified Practicing Project Practitioner (via AIPM) and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (via PMI) accreditation desirable or internal training mandatory.
