Seasonal Membership/Member Service Assistant

Seasonal Nov 24 to Feb 25 Position Summary Welcomes members and new members, answers questions, resolves problems, and explains various membership and warehouse programs. Processes membership sign-ups and renewals. Provides prompt and courteous member service to all members. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards.

Job Duties/Essential Functions Welcomes and communicates with members and potential members, in person, by phone, or by mail Answers questions, resolves problems, and explains membership and warehouse programs. Reviews membership and warehouse programs to keep knowledge up to date. Processes new membership and membership maintenance according to proper departmental procedures for paperwork and the performance of duties. Keys membership information into computer, keeps logs and paperwork, obtains supervisor approvals when necessary. Collects membership fees as keyed to computer by cash, and debit/credit terminal. Issues receipts. Provides and arranges for prompt and courteous member service. Answers phone, runs to the floor to check item availability, directs members to products, and service locations. Enlists assistance for member loading and shopping. Responds helpfully to member concerns, secures manager assistance as necessary. Assists at refund counter or with marketing as necessary. Cleans department, stocks forms, and cleans and supplies printers. Follows proper Membership and general safety and security procedures and standards. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary. Provides prompt and courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery Computer, printer, phone, camera, card printer, calculator, credit/debit terminal, cash register, handheld scanner, radio. Qualifications Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher.

Licenses/Certifications: None.

Experience/Skills: Membership, cashier, customer service or comparable experience.

Other specific requirements Satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate. * If successful, you will be required to undertake role & department specific training within specified timeframes. Job Ref: AU2827W.000313
