Job Description The In Room Dining Server position is an exciting opportunity to provide food & beverage service in guest rooms as well as serve in the Fairmont Gold Lounge.
Starting Rate: $16.55 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation.
Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years.
At three years the pay rate for this role would be $17.55.
Job Duties Include: Providing luxury service from early mornings to late nights.
Opening servers start as early as 5:30 AM and closing servers stay as late as 1:00 AM.Delivering orders and amenities to guest rooms.Setting up and working functions in guest rooms for up to 75 guests.Running the Gold floor lounge Food & Beverage component, including:Deluxe breakfast buffetEvening canapés serviceBarista serviceBartendingDevelopment opportunities such as cashiering, taking guest orders, processing payments, organizing daily deliveries, and assisting the Manager on Duty with service flow.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Your Skills & Qualifications: Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment including overnight shifts.6 months previous food & beverage experience required.Must have ProServe certification.Wine and cocktail knowledge an asset.POS knowledge an asset.Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+ lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout the shift.Additional Information Job Perks & Benefits: Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full-time status employees.One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $4/meal).Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision & Dental) including extended benefits like Mental Health, Orthodontics, Fertility Drugs, and Gender Affirmation for full-time permanent status employees.Defined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full-time permanent status employees.Employee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties worldwide.Access to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program – exclusive room rates for colleagues, which includes 50% off all food & beverage when staying at Fairmont Resorts in Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler.Discounts while using our resort's Food & Beverage Outlets, Fitness Centre, Spa, and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Courses.Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
