CKDS Architecture is searching for a Senior Architect to join our Central Coast team.

We are a leading architectural practice specialising in innovative and sustainable design to create places of excellence in modern urban environments.
We have worked on some of the region's most diverse commercial, residential and industrial designs and currently have both small and large projects ranging from high-end homes to developments up to 500 units.
Our team is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and committed senior designer with experience and expertise to add value to our service.
Our Senior Architect role requires you to have a depth of experience in construction and residential flat building along with a strong ability to lead and motivate and collaborate with the team.
You will also be able to expertly deal with builders onsite, as well as handle specifications and contract administration.
You must have a demonstrated talent and passion for design.
Registered Architect preferred with experience using ArchiCAD, and a strong knowledge of the profession and statutory controls.

You are a strong communicator who can effectively relate to our clients.
You can also provide general oversight and management on an entire project or multiple projects that you are overseeing.
You will assist with site studies and work closely with contractors, ensuring that works are carried out to specific standards and, above all, guaranteeing the building is sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The successful applicant will have: - Master of Architecture (or equivalent), - 10+ years' experience Registered Architect (preferred), - High level design skills (this is a must), - Construction knowledge and a keen eye for detail and innovation, - Strong communication, - Excellent organisational and time management skills, - Extensive experience working on medium and large scale residential flat building projects.

The role will be varied and will involve the following: - Discussing the objectives, requirements and budget of a project, - Consulting with other professionals and consultants during the design process, - Preparing and presenting client feasibility reports and design proposals, - Preparation of / and reviewing architectural drawings, - Producing detailed working drawings and specifications, - Specifying the nature and quality of materials required, - Preparing Development Applications (DA), - Tender submissions, construction drawings and presentations - Negotiating with contractors and other professionals, - Regular site visits to check on progress, - Ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget, - Effectively resolving problems and issues that arise during construction, - Experienced in coordinating statutory controls to documentation.
