Senior Project Engineer

Operating across the future energy, power generation, oil and gas and industrial sectors, we work closely with our customers to optimise the reliability, efficiency and whole of life costs of their assets and facilities.The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager in managing projects from conception to completion. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in project management.What makes you our perfect match?Working closely with the Construction Managers and Site Crews to ensure technical feasibility, quality, and adherence to budgetary constraints.Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocations in collaboration with stakeholders to optimize project execution.Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project constraints and propose mitigation strategies.Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.Manage project budgets and financials, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety standards.Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and deviations from plans.Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the project team and across the organization.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.What Downer OffersFlexible working environment - Office, Home, Site, R&R DaysOpportunity for career growth with structured frameworks and supportive-inclusive teamCompetitive Salary and Employee BenefitsValued and respected position, with supportive and experienced teamWork for a major ASX-listed companyOur aim is to create a workplace where people are respected and encouraged to fulfill their potential.
