We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.An exciting opportunity exists to join the Senior Secondary Certificate Reform Division (SSCRD) for two, 1-year fixed term full-time positions commencing on 1 January 2025.Two, 12 month fixed term positions till 31 December 2025Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions are available)Work location: East MelbourneAbout the divisionVCAA's SSCRD is responsible for leading and implementing generational reform to Victoria's senior secondary certification in response to the 2020 Review into Vocational and Applied Learning Pathways in Senior Secondary Schooling (The Firth Review).The reforms are supporting all Victorian secondary students to access engaging curriculum where they can connect their learning to real-life and workplace experiences.The Senior Program Advisor – VCE Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificate will work in a team of 3 Program Advisors to support the state-wide implementation of the VCE VM and the VPC, including contribution to the following workflows and projects:Provide procedural support for schools including;Management of regular communicationsManagement of VCE VM and VPC content on the VCAA website, and the handbooksVASS and eligibility query managementProvide curriculum and pedagogical support including;Management of study/curriculum design reviews and implementation (VPC & VCE VM)Curriculum, program design and delivery supportDevelopment and publication of support materialsProvide ongoing professional learning & support including managing;Contribute to professional learning programs (in person, online, on demand)Correspondence, stakeholder engagement and Communities of practice.Contribute to major reform projectsContribute to professional learning development and deliveryContribute to development, accreditation, publication and implementation of the new VPC studiesTo be successful in this roleYour passion for teamwork, people and project discipline will ensure you demonstrate the VPS values and lead with integrity, while supporting a safe and inclusive workplace.You are a highly organised and professional person, capable of managing projects with numerous contributors and stakeholders for demanding clients to firm deadlines and budget constraints.Your excellent stakeholder management and communication skills will help you steer, support and deliver successful survey, data, reporting and improvement projects.Experience and qualificationsEssential: Experience developing senior secondary curriculum, teaching and assessment, especially for applied learning programs.Essential: Leading teacher, Learning Specialist or similar/equivalent experience in an educational setting.Essential: Experience delivering professional learning to teachers /other professionals; developing and implementing policy.How to applyApplicants are encouraged to submit a cover letter including a summary of their suitability addressing the dot points above (from experience & qualifications section) along with your CV.Further InformationFor more details regarding this position please see attached position description for the capabilities to address in application.The department values diversity and inclusion in all forms - gender, religion, ethnicity, LGBTIQ+, disability and neurodiversity.
