Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Assistant Accountant to join the Business and Finance team at Immanuel Lutheran College. As a full-time member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and reporting of our college. Joining a team of four highly experienced and dedicated professionals, you can rely on their support and thrive in a collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing Sound knowledge of financial and management reporting including variance analysis.Experience preparing and monitoring budgets.Sound knowledge of payroll procedures and employee benefits.High level of ability using and maintaining computerised accounting and payroll systems, plus advanced knowledge of Excel.Experience and willingness to innovate and identify systems improvement and able to manage change in a positive manner.Well-developed interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and negotiations skills and the ability to interact with a range of clients.Well-developed organisational, planning and time management skills combined with a strong commitment to get the job done, meet strict deadlines and resolve complex issues.What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline is preferred, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.Commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.What we offer At Immanuel Lutheran College, we are dedicated to creating an environment where our staff thrive both personally and professionally.
