The Role:As the Coordinator Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the HR landscape of Merri-bek.
Reporting directly to the Manager People and Safety, this position involves both operational expertise and strategic leadership.
You will lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality human resource services and drive initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness and workplace culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:In this role, you will oversee HR operations, managing the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, policy development, and HR systems administration.
You will also lead the implementation of strategic HR initiatives that align with organisational goals, fostering an inclusive and positive workplace environment.
Your expertise will help ensure best practices in HR, Recruitment and Inclusion, providing valuable insights to drive continuous improvement.
You will champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, embedding plans and policies that reflect Merri-bek's commitment to equity and first people's representation.
Collaboration with stakeholders across various departments will be essential to ensure effective, safe, and aligned operations.
About you:To succeed in this role, you will need a degree or postgraduate qualification in HR, Business Management, or a related field (highly desirable), along with proven experience in team management and leading change within an HR environment.
A strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and legislative compliance is essential, as is the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
You should have excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels and a demonstrated ability to deliver innovative HR solutions that enhance organisational culture and employee engagement.
