Internationally successful: The Wienerberger Group Come and join us as a Production Shift Leader at our Kingsbury site near Tamworth About the Role As a Production Shift Leader at our Kingsbury site, you will be fully trained to work with our specialised tools and machinery which we use to produce bricks ready for use in the construction industry.
You will manage a shift of production operatives, leading them to achieve their production, quality and safety targets.
You will also line manage a number of the Operators, providing them with technical expertise, supporting their personal development and any areas of improvement.
Duties include:
To plan and manage the team on a daily basisAddressing/reporting Health and Safety issuesEnsuring Health and Safety standards are achieved and that P.P.E.
is used where neededMonitor quality in all areas of productionMonitor process control reportsPlan to ensure all materials and equipment needed is available to run the shift for productionEnsure that all paperwork is correctly filled inWork closely with the maintenance departmentWork with shift leadership and plant management on all aspects of productionAssist in the implementation of quality and environmental managementAct as the first point of contact for your team members sickness or absenceHours of Work: 6.00am to 5.00pm, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern About you You will have experience working as a Production Operative in a manufacturing environment and ideally will have experience with supervision/line management or have the right transferable skills to offer, such as
CoachingAddressing performance issuesMotivating othersManaging changeResource planning and organisationYou will also demonstrate best practice in relation to health & safety standards and have experience with continuous improvement activities.
