Applicants seeking a part-time position are also encouraged to apply.Your duties will include: Quality improvement and undergraduate & post-graduate and other teachingArrange onward referral of patients for medical services not available locallyParticipate in the on-call rosterProvide a consultative service to other specialist unitsSupervise and teach junior medical staff and medical studentsParticipate in clinical researchParticipate in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training.Specialist (Emergency Medicine) or limited registration with the Medical Board of AustraliaRecent experience in an acute hospital settingDemonstrated experience to provide acute resuscitation services to the critically ill & effective communication skills with patients, their relatives and professional colleaguesHospital and locationA modern secondary level hospital providing emergency and specialist services to Northern Tasmania.
It offers services in medical, surgical and allied health through inpatient and outpatient departments.
The hospital caters for the emergency resuscitation, surgery and intensive care of most trauma patients and other medical conditions.The Emergency Department has an annual attendance rate of 27,600 patients per year with a 28% admission rate.
The Department treats a broad range of patients including major trauma cases.Tasmania's most westerly city on an undeniably beautiful coastline, this location is famous for its cheese and whisky.
