Prefab1 is a Modular Building Company and Commercial Builder based in Seaford.
Due to recent growth and currently working on some of Victoria's Big Build projects, we have a large amount of work secured which has created a new position within our team.
We require a Finance Manager, with a can-do attitude and experience, who is looking to take their career and our business to the next stage.
We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and business savvy Finance Manager to join our team.
This role is pivotal in managing the day-to-day operations of the company ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective business processes.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a strong business acumen and the ability to work with the company MD, as well as collaborate with stakeholders internal and external to the business.
This role offers diversity and the opportunity to work within a positive and experienced team.
With your energy and initiative, you will manage the company finance and accounting procedures in place and have the ability to improve efficiency, automation, and processes to drive the company forward.
You will be working closely with the MD and this role is responsible for managing the financial reporting internally and to the Company accountant, budgeting and forecasting, and supporting other aspects of the company operations.

Specific duties include:
Lead month-end accounting and end-of-year reporting preparation for forwarding to Company accountant.
Oversee the AR, AP, and Payroll functions to ensure efficient and timely processes.
Manage both the internal audit and preparation of the work papers and taxation compliance, and the company financial reports for submission to the company accountant.
Review credit limits and credit risk.
Manage a team including customer service and administration.
Coordinate closely with the MD to understand and implement business decisions that contribute to the strategic growth of the business.
What you'll need to succeed:
You are an accomplished finance manager, or a highly experienced senior accountant professional looking for the next step to work in a small to medium sized corporate business, who loves working with the MD and across other departments.
Fully qualified or heading towards being qualified CA, CPA.
Full function financial and accounting management (loves being hands-on).
Strong XERO and Excel skills.
Knowledge of Simpro and Cheops platforms preferred but not essential.
Enjoy people leadership and working in a friendly close-knit team.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is paramount in this role.
Excellent communicator and interpersonal abilities.
