Possum ECC is located in Hazelbrook, only a 30-minute drive from Penrith. Our centres are surrounded by the beautiful Blue Mountains scenery while still being close enough to the city.We have a highly rewarding opportunity for a full-time or part-time (minimum 31 hours per week) Early Childhood Centre Director to join our dedicated team, partnering with families to support and nurture their little ones.This is an exciting and unique opportunity to take a well-established centre, embedded in the local community, under your wing as they grow with the Connect family. Our Early Education Manager along with our People and Culture and Finance teams, work together with our Early Childhood Education teams to ensure we provide the best environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive, and we are excited to welcome a permanent centre director to lead this passionate team.As Centre Director, you will be leading our dedicated team of educators and managing the day-to-day operations of Possum Early Childhood Centre. You will be working closely with our team of educators, and our head office teams. This is a teaching director role, and as such you will be working as part of the team on the floor up to 2 days per week. You will work collaboratively and participate in monthly director meetings where you will have a say in the direction of the organisation and best practice approaches. Above all, this is an opportunity for you to receive ongoing support in this role.The current roster allows for a high educator-to-children ratio, which creates the foundation for strong relationships, not only with children but also their families and the wider community.Your core duties will fall within the following areas:Influence, lead and deliver high-quality serviceManage the team and day-to-day administrationCollaborate with families, the team and the communityProvide ongoing learning and developmentAs part of the role, you will ensure that all relevant laws and educational frameworks are in-line with compliance standards for government early childhood education and care.You'll be great in this role because:To thrive in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Teaching (or be currently studying, or willing to study) and significant experience managing Early Childhood Educators.We are looking for an empathetic and compassionate individual who is a natural leader with strong mentoring and communication skills.
