Connect Children and Families (Connect) is a not-for-profit organisation serving communities in the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Hawkesbury and Western Sydney.
Together we support children's and families' learning, safety and wellbeing.
We do this through supporting families to access services that respond to their needs, creating pathways both across our services, and to other community agencies that can support them.
Our services are available to children and families in their home, in early childhood education centres and pre-schools, in community spaces and schools and other family-centred services.

Possum ECC is located in Hazelbrook, only a 30-minute drive from Penrith.
Our centres are surrounded by the beautiful Blue Mountains scenery while still being close enough to the city.
We have a highly rewarding opportunity for a full-time or part-time (minimum 31 hours per week) Early Childhood Centre Director to join our dedicated team, partnering with families to support and nurture their little ones.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to take a well-established centre, embedded in the local community, under your wing as they grow with the Connect family.
Our Early Education Manager along with our People and Culture and Finance teams, work together with our Early Childhood Education teams to ensure we provide the best environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive, and we are excited to welcome a permanent centre director to lead this passionate team.
As Centre Director, you will be leading our dedicated team of educators and managing the day-to-day operations of Possum Early Childhood Centre.
You will be working closely with our team of educators, and our head office teams.
Our onsite staff includes a centre cook five days a week to provide fresh and healthy meals for our Centre's children and a dedicated Educational Leader.
This is a teaching director role, and as such you will be working as part of the team on the floor up to 2 days per week.
You will work collaboratively and participate in monthly director meetings where you will have a say in the direction of the organisation and best practice approaches.
Above all, this is an opportunity for you to receive ongoing support in this role.
The current roster allows for a high educator-to-children ratio, which creates the foundation for strong relationships, not only with children but also their families and the wider community.
Your core duties will fall within the following areas:
• Influence, lead and delivery high-quality service
• Manage the team and day-to-day administration
• Collaborate with families, the team and the community
• Provide ongoing learning and development
As part of the role, you will ensure that all relevant laws and educational frameworks are in-line with compliance standards for government early childhood education and care.
You'll be great in this role because:
To thrive in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Teaching (or be currently studying, or willing to study) and significant experience managing Early Childhood Educators.
We are looking for an empathetic and compassionate individual who is a natural leader with strong mentoring and communication skills.
You will also have the skills to effectively build an environment of continuous learning.
Positive relationships with our families are key to ensuring high-quality education and care.
You will develop and maintain these relationships alongside creating a safe space and environment for our people, children and families.
Your strong time management and organisation skills will ensure administrative tasks are performed and completed to a high standard.
Above all, you will be committed to evidence-based practice and pedagogy.
This will include the family partnership model, circle of security and inclusive practice.

You will enjoy an attractive salary package starting at $86,000 up to $107,000 (FTE, plus super and including Directors Allowance) in line with your experience level.
