ABOUT OUR CLIENT AND THE ROLE
Our client is an industry leader in the agricultural sector, who due to a period of sustained growth and evolution, are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join their executive leadership team.
Based in Melbourne's South East, this pivotal role combines strategic vision with operational excellence, driving financial and business outcomes in alignment with the company's long-term goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the CFO, you will be responsible for:

Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Managing Director and executive team to shape and execute company strategies, fostering sustainable growth.
Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance to ensure alignment with organisational goals and regulatory standards.
Risk & Compliance: Develop and maintain a robust risk management framework, addressing potential business risks proactively.
Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a team of finance and IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Information Systems & Technology: Manage the company's IT infrastructure and ensure systems meet evolving business needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, including board members, auditors, and financial institutions.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will be an experienced financial leader with a proven track record in guiding organisations through growth and transformation.
They will have a blend of strategic insight and hands-on expertise which enables them to navigate complex financial landscapes while inspiring high-performing teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; CPA/CA certification is essential.
Over 10 years in senior financial leadership roles, with experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or related industries highly regarded.
Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation laws, corporate treasury, and information systems.
Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and people management skills.
