Job Title: Commercial Manager We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Manager to join our client's team and oversee the commercial aspects of a major fixed-price technology development, integration, and deployment project.
Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will be responsible for managing all commercial matters throughout the design and build phases.
As the Project Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the commercial aspects of the project, ensuring optimal outcomes for both the prime contractor and system integrator.
Your responsibilities will include:
Negotiating contractual changes and variations with the Principal and Subcontractors Monitoring contractual communications and drafting necessary notices Maintaining variations and correspondence registers Collaborating with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate financial provisions Supervising dispute processes and managing internal change processes Supporting internal and external audit processes Providing commercial management training and coaching Developing and maintaining project commercial documentation Ensuring compliance with commercial management systems and procedures Conducting internal and external audits Providing commercial reporting to stakeholders To be successful in this role, you will need:
A degree-level qualification in a relevant field A recognised project management or commercial management qualification or accreditation Significant practical experience as a senior project or commercial manager A demonstrated understanding of applying commercial management principles in high-risk and complicated projects 10+ years of commercial management experience within project environments Experience in the rail, telecoms, or construction industry A demonstrated background in commercial leadership in both corporate and project-based positions Strong written and verbal communication skills Good leadership skills Strong financial and commercial acumen Adaptability and flexibility Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment If you are a highly motivated and experienced Project Commercial Manager looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
