Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated HSE Officer who is passionate about safety and eager to make a positive impact on our team.
You will support the Operations team in promoting a safe work environment, conducting safety inspections and team member interactions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
Duties & Responsibilities: Work proactively as a member of the Operations and Administration Team to maintain safe work and safe conditions to prevent injury and harm.Conduct regular safety inspections and audits under supervision.Assist in the investigation of incidents, including root cause analysis.Participate in risk assessments and help implement risk control measures.Facilitate basic HSE communication and consultation processes.Assist with maintaining accurate HSE records and documentation.Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities.Assist with basic injury management and return-to-work programs.Engage in ongoing training and development activities as directed.You will have: Certificate 3 in Work Health and Safety (BSB30719); orCertificate 4 in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) – desirable.We will also consider Certificate 4 in Security Risk Analysis (CPP41519).Current and valid Provide First Aid and CPR competencies (HLTAID011 & HLTAID009) – mandatory.Other skills: Sound understanding of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a team.High attention to detail and organisational skills.Previous exposure/experience in manufacturing is ideal but not mandatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
