Management - Internal (Human Resources & Recruitment) Full time This dynamic, forward-thinking property and technology complex organisation is seeking a Chief People Officer capable of operating at a strategic, advisory and "hands-on" level to lead the People function and drive business objectives.
Working very closely with the experienced CEO, executive team, and board as a trusted advisor, this is an opportunity to have significant impact on shaping the organisation's capability and future.
In this role you will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Team, offering guidance and ensuring the development and delivery of programs to enhance employee development, performance and engagement.
You will lead cultural change, ensure capability uplift and foster an engaged and productive workforce.
As a true generalist with an organisational development bent, along with your 5 direct reports you will create a culture of continuous learning and development and drive talent acquisition while championing the organisation's culture and values.
Key deliverables will include rolling out leadership development, completing remuneration benchmarking, and ensuring top talent retention at market-competitive rates.
You will also complete performance and capability reviews, oversee the bonus cycle, and design a new incentive scheme to boost employee engagement and ESG outcomes.
Building a strong relationship with the CEO and ensuring cultural alignment will be critical to long-term success.
A willingness and ability to also work hands-on in HR operational matters will be important as you partner with the executive to deliver exceptional workplace strategy and practice.
To secure this role you will require the following: Proven HR leadership within highly regulated industries, with experience navigating the complexities of small, dynamic businesses.Extensive experience in driving organisational change and digital transformation initiatives.Strong track record in developing leadership capabilities at the executive and senior management level.In-depth expertise in NSW employment law and regulatory compliance.Demonstrated success in leading cultural transformation initiatives.Expertise in workforce planning, remuneration frameworks, and reward programs.Experience with ESG practices and sustainability initiatives.Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with exceptional boards and executive teams.Extensive experience as a trusted advisor to CEOs, demonstrating strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.Proven experience in running HR operations.If you're a hands-on, results-driven HR leader ready to partner with a highly capable CEO to make a difference, please contact Merridy Thomas or Katie Hislop at The Next Step on 8256 2500 or apply online.
