Pre-Construction / Development Manager

As the Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of the projects, overseeing all aspects of planning and preparation before construction begins.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are set up in the right way to be able to be delivered on time, within budget, and according to their quality standards.Your ResponsibilitiesLead the pre-construction phase of projects, including site assessment, feasibility studies, and design development.Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities for each project.Manage the bidding process for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project requirements.
It is critical to continue the strong relationships this business has with their trade base.Work closely with the development team to evaluate project proposals and make recommendations based on cost, feasibility, and market trends.Collaborate with local authorities and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, budget forecasts, and potential issues.Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the pre-construction phase.Lead value management discussions through your knowledge in design management and building methodology.Your ExperienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.Proven experience as a Pre-Construction Manager, commercial builder's Design Manager or similar role in commercial construction.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.Your BenefitsMarket leading salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.Dynamic and collaborative work environment.Chance to work on exciting and impactful projects that shape communities.Your CareerWith very strong, long term relationships with key stakeholders this business has experienced overwhelmingly successful year on year growth.
