We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance team at Wetherill Park.About the RoleIn this role, you will collaborate closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of plant equipment during the morning shift.
Leading a team of skilled maintenance staff, you will be responsible for prioritising work requests, coordinating preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
With a strong focus on safety and effectiveness, you will guide and support your team to deliver high-quality maintenance outcomes while fostering a culture of excellence and adherence to safety standards.Your new role will include:Overseeing the maintenance program, encompassing preventive maintenance, corrective works, and prompt responses to breakdownsEnsuring timely and efficient resolution of work requests to minimise downtimeAnalysing recurring maintenance issues, identifying trends, and reporting insights to the Maintenance ManagerResponding to call-outs and assisting with breakdowns to maintain uninterrupted daily production operationsSupervising contractors in alignment with our contractor management plan and ensuring compliance with standardsReviewing current work practices to identify and implement areas for improvementPreparing comprehensive Daily Shift Reports to ensure transparency and accountability.Leading initiatives in continuous improvement and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to enhance operational reliabilityDriving and actively participating in 5SAbout YouWe are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor who enjoys a varied role where no two days are the same.
You are an excellent communicator and possess strong decision-making skills.
Your ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes will see you thrive in this fast-paced roleTo be successful in the role you will bring:Relevant Trade CertificateMinimum 2 years supervisory experience in a similar positionExperience in mechanical and electrical maintenanceExperience utilising a computerised Maintenance Management System, ideally SAPQuality and continuous improvement focusedDemonstrated high level of attention to detailDemonstrated ability to think quickly, clearly and logically whilst meeting deadlinesContractor Management ExperienceAvailability for weekends and be on call for afterhours call outsAbility to Drive Safety in the workplace Accurate Hazard identification & reportingPrevious experience within an FMCG production environment is desirable, but not essentialWhat's on OfferThe successful candidate can anticipate access to employee meat sale prices, an excellent salary package as well as growth and development opportunities within a growing family owned company.Don't miss this chance to advance your maintenance career.
