Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll report to the Fleet Operations Manager and work alongside motivated and energetic teammates. You'll be responsible for leading a team of technicians to deliver planned and corrective maintenance activities across the Sydney Light Rail Fleet.
We'll look to you for:
Efficient utilisation of staff and resources to achieve contractual targets and targets set by the Fleet Manager and Project Director.Ensuring that Occupational Health and Safety and quality procedures are developed, maintained and adhered to at all times.Overseeing the in-depth fault finding, servicing and repair of the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles).Training and mentoring your team to ensure they have the right tools, equipment and competency required to perform the work.Leading process improvements and new ways of working within the depot.Driving efficiency within the team to ensure the improvement of availability and fleet performance.All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.Commercially minded and customer focused.Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and managing teams.Significant experience in a maintenance environment, ideally within Rail/Rolling stock or similar heavy industry.Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.Things you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
