Cottage Kids Community Preschool – Berkeley Vale NSW
Cottage Kids Community Preschool is seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader / Lead Educator to join our dedicated team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading or co/leading a team of educators and overseeing the daily operation in our 2 - 3 years preschool room. The position is based at our Berkeley Vale, NSW location.
What you'll be doing
Provide leadership and supervision to a team of educators, supporting their professional development and fostering a positive, collaborative environment Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their learning and development Establish and maintain strong relationships with children and their families, ensuring open communication and effective partnerships Ensure the room environment is safe, welcoming and conducive to children's learning and wellbeing Comply with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and education Actively participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Room Leader or Lead Educator in an early childhood setting Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide effective leadership Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to delivering high-quality care and learning experiences Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications Valid Working with Children Check What we offer
