Manager - Quality, Training and Research ServicesThe role currently has seven direct reports, being:Coopers Plains-based Scientific Skills Development Team of four, Quality Manager, Research Governance Officer, and Information Research Manager Librarian.Applicants should expect to undertake travel within Brisbane as part of the role.Key competencies (role specific criteria)You should consider the key competencies below and include commentary about them in your suitability statement and/or resume. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:High level scientific knowledge as it applies to a multi-disciplinary laboratory network.Proven ability to achieve organisational outcomes within a large and diverse organisation.Advanced knowledge and skill in embedding quality systems and risk mitigation strategies in complex organisations.Knowledge of research principles and governance models.Understanding of adult learning principles and development of training programs.Advanced negotiation, consultative, written, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to lead by example, build an effective team culture, and lead others through change.QualificationsThe successful applicant must have a Degree in Applied Science – Medical Science or equivalent.A qualification or certification in management, business, adult learning, quality systems or research is highly desirable.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.Visa ConditionsPlease detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.Other RequirementsApplicants should note that this position is not eligible for the fringe benefit tax (FBT) exemption cap.We understand that some people may require adjustments to the workplace or the way the work is performed.
