We are on the lookout for an experienced Lead Carpenter/Foreman to join our team in 2025Built To Matter Homes specialise in the Design & Construction of New Home Builds, Home Renovations & Additions in Sydney's Upper North Shore.
With a team of on-site Carpenters and Apprentices, along with administration and design team members in the office, we are looking for an experienced Carpenter or Builder to join the team and manage the execution of multiple residential building projects.
You will be supported by a Project Manager, who will communicate directly with the homeowner, process variations, and work with you to ensure you have what is required to complete the works to a high standard in a timely manner.
We are looking for someone who can: Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standard.Coordinate with project manager, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that construction plans are followed accurately and efficiently.Communicate regularly with project managers and other team members to ensure that everyone is up-to-date on project progress, including updating BuilderTrend (schedule, messaging, RFIs).Work through and resolve any problems or obstacles that may arise during construction (making decisions on your own based on experience is highly regarded).Manage and supervise a team of construction workers, ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to perform their jobs effectively.Monitor and enforce compliance with safety on site.Who must have: Strong carpentry framing background.At least 4 years of experience in a site manager role in the residential alts & adds space, with experience in all stages of construction (demolition, excavation, framing, fix-out, etc).Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage, teach, and motivate a team effectively.Familiarity with construction safety regulations.With the following attributes: Well presented.Interpersonal skills.Adaptable.Good time management.Why Work with BTM?
