Grace Lawyers Pty Limited is a leading national law firm in the area of strata and community title law which specialises in the areas of insurance law, commercial dispute resolution, debt collection, building & construction, insolvency, corporate and commercial transactions/litigation, planning and property law.
We are looking to recruit a driven Paralegal / Law Clerk to join our Debt Recovery team.
Our services extend from the first letter of demand to final bankruptcy or liquidation (if required).
The role would suit someone who is eager to learn and develop their skills and knowledge in this area.
About the Role
We currently have a position available for a full-time or part-time Paralegal / Law Clerk in our Debt Recovery practice area working out of our city office.
Legal Debt Recovery and Strata Industry experience will be looked upon favourably however is not essential as we are open to providing training for the successful applicant who possesses the required competencies, the right attitude and a good work ethic.
You will work with fellow Law Clerks and Paralegals in a close and collaborative team and enjoy a down to earth, professional but fun work environment.
Day to Day responsibilities include:

Preparation and online filing of court documents
Communicating over the telephone with various parties involved in proceedings
Drafting of correspondence to clients, debtors, court registries and other third parties
Evaluation and assessment of cases in order to provide written recommendations to clients to ensure efficient, amicable resolution is attained
Maintenance of files and general administration duties

The Person
To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following:-

A strong work ethic, organisational and time management skills and a professional manner
The ability to work well within a team as well as autonomously
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (both oral and written)
The ability to be flexible and thorough in your approach to your work
The ability to analyse, evaluate and explore any given situation and arrive at a logical conclusion
Confidence and skills with using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
The ability to work Mondays to Fridays in our Sydney City office (or at least 3 days per week for part-time.)
This is a position that would be ideal for an individual who would like to become a career paralegal, who has the desire to develop and achieve and has the viewpoint of committing to long term employment with the firm.
You do not need to have previous experience or aspirations of becoming a lawyer to be considered for this position.
Note that this position is not suitable for a Law Student wanting to progress to a Lawyer.
Salary and position will be commensurate with the candidate's proven experience and knowledge.
