Our services are provided through five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.
Mental Health Services are also provided at various locations including Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, and Coburg.
About the Role: This role would suit a passionate Laboratory Technician who enjoys working as part of a team to contribute to the production of high-quality work and participation on a rotating roster.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Specimen handlingEmbedding and microtomy of FFPE tissueData entryEquipment maintenanceBlock and slide filingCytopathology preparationMortuary dutiesOther general laboratory responsibilitiesThe role is a maternity leave cover from February 2025 until November 2025.
To be successful in this role you will have: A relevant diploma of applied science (Medical Laboratory), diploma or advanced diploma in laboratory technology or Laboratory Operations, or equivalent.Previous experience working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory and experience in histological techniques is highly desirable.Proven ability to work in a fast-changing environment, both independently and as part of a team.A high attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.Next Steps: If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
