Our role at Thomson Reuters is to serve our customers, pursuing justice, truth, and transparency.About the roleThis role presents an exciting opportunity to step into the dynamic world of tax and financial reporting technology.If you are an accountant, financial reporting analyst or tax consultant (or a manager in any of these areas) looking to side-step into a role that still allows you to leverage your knowledge and experience, this may be for you.As a senior consultant in the Professional Services team, you will have a wide range of responsibilities as a subject matter expert in our financial reporting and tax software products, leveraging your accounting, financial reporting and/or tax expertise.You will deliver implementation projects of tax and financial reporting software for a range of clients, including ASX100 and multi-national corporates. You will advise clients as the technical subject matter expert for our software products, train clients, prepare user guides and other documentation, perform product testing and troubleshooting.Along with a team of consultants, you will also be involved in a major project assisting our entire customer base to migrate from legacy software versions to new, updated versions.You will support the client relationship management team as the technical expert in client conversations.About the RoleAs aSenior Consultant, Professional Servicesyou will:Deliver implementation projects for tax and financial reporting software products, including advising clients as the technical subject matter expert, providing training, preparing user guides and other documentation, performing product testing and troubleshooting;Project manage implementation projects, including creating project plans, meeting and reporting management, monitoring and managing risks;Be involved in sales enablement activities, by scoping and selling the value of our tax software products and services to new and existing customers;Manage multiple clients and projects at the same time;Enable client retention and relationship management efforts, by supporting the client relationship managers in their dealings with customers as the technical expert;Prepare user guides, implementation reports, training manuals and other documentation as required; andDeliver training sessions and webinars to clients.About YouFor this role, ideally we are looking for someone with:4+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting and/or Australian taxExperience with financial reporting and/or tax preparation software, such as ONESOURCE, CCH, WorkivaAbility to juggle a large number of projects, clients and tasks at the same timeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to explain technical concepts in a clear, concise mannerExcellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)Ability to work in a face paced, team-oriented environmentIf you are interested but don't have all of the skills listed, we would still love to hear from youWhat you'll be responsible forCollaborate with team members and other professionals to deliver high quality services to clientsTax PlanningDevelop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximise savings for clientsTax Compliance AdvisoryAdvise clients on compliance with tax laws and regulationsSkills you'll needWorks with others by being open, clear in communication and listening to achieve goalsDecision MakingConsiders the costs and benefits of potential actions and determines the most appropriate oneCritical thinkingIdentifies and synthesizes patterns and trends amongst various sources of information to reach a meaningful conclusion, perspective or insight
