Job Category: Education, Childcare & TrainingJob DescriptionAt Green Leaves Early Learning Centres, we take pride in building innovative and sustainable learning environments in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built centres.Our small, boutique centre caters for just 54 children and is located on a quiet and peaceful street in Ashgrove.The centre's location has allowed us the opportunity to pay homage to this character architecture and develop an extension to the existing Queenslander to create Green Leaves Early Learning Ashgrove Cottage.The Assistant Director is a crucial part of our Leadership team in supporting the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and successful running of the Centre.
The Assistant Director works to support the team in the development and delivery of high-quality education and care, and actively mentors and develops the broader team.Our service will foster positive and beneficial relationships within the community.
On a weekly basis, we will offer all-inclusive extra-curricular activities and in-house culinary classes run by our Chef and Kitchen Hand.We foster a harmonious relationship with our people - we value your professionalism and passion with rewarding loyalty and achievements.Please note that we are looking for someone with the ability to work Monday to Friday for this role.Desired Skills and ExperienceEssential Qualifications/Experience/Skills:Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, or Early Childhood Teaching qualificationCurrent Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificatesState-relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety ScreeningCurrent Child Protection TrainingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities, and managing time effectively.Previous experience as an Assistant Director or Lead EducatorKnowledge and experience with Qikkids and Story Park (or similar equivalent platforms)Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Facebook.
