WHAT IS THE ROLE?You will join our incredible event coordination and production team, managing all administration involved in the post-sale journey of our customers.
You will be liaising with our artists, clients and the sales team on a daily basis and reporting to our Head of Entertainment: Hayley & General Manager: Nathan.Your typical day will involve:Managing all administrative tasks for the post-sale customer journey (after our sales team confirms a booking)Taking/making approx.
10 phone calls per day and responding to emails from booked-in clientsManaging artist replacements due to cancellations, illness, or other unforeseen circumstancesPreparing weekly Job Sheets by collecting and organising forms, ensuring seamless logistics, timing, and equipment coordination for events.Managing talent and client requestsScheduling and organising equipment swaps between artistsCoordinating logistics with venuesDaily, weekly and monthly administration tasksOrganising the schedule of 3x content-shoots per year with talent in the off-seasonInvoicing clients and up-selling entertainment where neededCalling venues and negotiating equipment requirementsBuilding rapport with our artists and venues REQUIREMENTSBright and bubbly phone manner (if you're the type that loves a phone call, we want to hear from you
)Thrives under pressure (e.g., handling artist cancellations) and demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills.Demonstrates proactivity, resilience and composure towards customer complaints and challengesMust own an Apple Macbook Laptop (2020 or newer) & iPhoneAvailability during peak months: October, November, December, February, March, and April.Full-time commitment.
40 hours per week, Mon-Fri: 9-5Ability to plan, prioritise and manage time effectivelyThe ability to roll out over 1,000+ events in one calendar yearExperience in one of the following areas: entertainment, event management, theatre or hospitality industriesAutonomy in problem-solving with a clear vision and creative thinking WHO IS MELBOURNE ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY?MEC is Melbourne's leading wedding and event entertainment agency undergoing a national expansion.
