Our client is one of Australia's leading investment research houses, providing financial product ratings, market insights & portfolio construction tools to empower financial advisers, advice licensees, fund managers and super funds.
Their market leading investment research platform, provides subscribers access to this research to efficiently build a complete picture of their clients' investment portfolios and facilitates more informed and insightful conversations with their clients. The platform provides unparalleled breadth and depth of qualitative research, including research on managed funds, ETFs, hybrids, LIC / LITs, SMAs, ASX 200 equities, super funds and super fund investment options.
About The Role The Senior Product Manager - is responsible for the ongoing development and advancement of the platform, including its pricing strategy, to ensure that it maintains its' market leading position in the Australian financial services sector.
The primary objective of this role is to grow the subscription based revenue generated from the platform by working closely with the key stakeholders and facilitating the needs of the retail and institutional customer base who are utilising the platform.
Responsibilities: Strategic Responsibilities: Develop a strategic roadmap for the platform, focusing on key projects, growth areas, and competitor analysis in collaboration with Sales and Support teams.Create business cases for funding and resource requests for new platform initiatives.Ensure the platform continues to meet customer needs and proactively enhance capabilities to evolve the platform.Oversee key development initiatives and establish a pricing strategy for iRate to ensure appropriate subscription fees.Identify new business and cross-selling opportunities within the platform.Administration: Support the client services and Sales teams with client queries and technical issues related to the platform.Collaborate with the Data Services team to maintain accurate and licensed data with the platform applicationDrive the launch and promotion of new product enhancements and marketing activities in conjunction with the Marketing team.Training: Develop a training strategy for users in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.Contribute to the creation of training modules.Continuous Improvement: Explore new growth and revenue opportunitiesManage platform related projects by scoping requirements, engaging staff, and reporting on status.Regular Duties: Provide ongoing support to Business Development Managers (BDMs) and assist in strategic initiatives and sales pitches to grow the platform subscriber base.Engage with fund manager subscribers and coordinate with the IT team on development projects, including testing.About you: Significant experience in Product Management within the Australian financial services sector and preferably with software/application product developmentDemonstrated ability to develop a new product proposition or manage a significant uplift in an existing product offering delivering tangible business benefitsStrong stakeholder management skills and proven leadership in overseeing cross-functional projects and teams.Knowledge of the broader financial services industry including funds management, research and specifically on the financial advice processKnowledge/understanding of fintech solutions in the Australian market including financial planning software and CRM toolsStrong communication skills including presentation skillsSalesforce experience would be preferable.Expertise in production of documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentationsAbility to manage personal time and resources in order to achieve project objectives and regular tasksAbility to formulate effective action plans to implement specific product development related strategies.Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to research and provision of financial adviceWhat we offer Ongoing flexible working arrangementsFamily friendly work-life balancePaid parental leaveVolunteer and Study leaveGenuinely open and supportive culture with an approachable executive teamOngoing training and professional developmentWellness program (including an annual wellness reimbursement for all staff to put towards health and wellness-related activities)Social and charity eventsYou will be joining a hugely respected business and this is a role where you can truly make your mark in a growing team, reporting directly into the COO.
