The Opportunity As Head of Technologies, you will lead a committed team to deliver high-quality, future-focused technology and design education across the Senior School.
You will:
Lead excellence in teaching by developing and implementing innovative technology and design programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and WACE.Embrace emerging technologies and digital tools to enhance teaching and ensure students are prepared for the future.Promote Woodwork, Food, Design, and Digital Technologies through hands-on learning activities, competitions, and co-curricular programs.Lead innovation in both design, materials and digital technologies, integrating robotics, eSports, coding, woodworking, food science, and design into student learning.Promote safety in workshops and labs by overseeing risk management processes and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.Encourage student participation in technology competitions such as robotics and coding challenges, as well as design-focused activities like woodworking, food science events, and design competitions.Play an active role in the Academic Leadership Team and Senior School's Academic Council, ensuring the development of high-quality Scopes and Sequences and assessments aligned with the College's Curriculum Plan.Become and maintain status as a Microsoft Innovative Educator and support best-practice use of digital technologies in teaching and learning across the College.Why Join Tranby College? Holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a graduate qualification in Education or a Bachelor of Education with a relevant major.Has current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).Has proven leadership experience in an independent school setting, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in student outcomes.Has strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy, curriculum development, and technology and design education strategies.Demonstrates the ability to lead a team in the effective use of data and emerging technologies to enhance teaching and learning.Has excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and service.Teaching Load: 0.8 FTE5-year fixed-term appointment, with a one-year probation and potential for renewal.Active participation in the College's co-curricular and community engagement programs is required.Cover letter addressing the role (2 pages maximum),Personal Education Philosophy (2 pages maximum),Academic Transcripts,Three referencesApplications close at 3.30 pm, Friday, 8 November 2024.
