Tech Data Senior Project Manager

How will I help?
You will join the Technology Transformation Division, to lead and manage project activities that deliver business and/or technology solutions, enabling Westpac to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes.
Working within the Data Portfolio Deliver team as a Senior Project Manager, you will be working within a large and complex initiative which will merge and simplify Westpac's data ecosystem.
The program will incorporate a number of streams of work (e.g.
using Data Products and completing a proof of concept using AI to accelerate the work) to deliver the outcomes through all aspects of the delivery lifecycle.
Using your delivery excellence, you will initially have the opportunity to lead the central control function of the program, working with multiple steams and stakeholders to manage the project fundamentals (e.g.
dependencies).
As the program progresses you will lead the end-2-end delivery of a stream of work within the program.
Following the conclusion of your responsibilities on the program project, you will have the opportunity to work on other projects within our diverse Data Portfolio.
Your key responsibilities include: Program control – Lead the central control function within the program to comply with the group governance processes & delivery standards and manage the overall program fundamentals (scope, dependencies, finances, front door etc) Delivery - Manage a project to deliver solutions/capabilities that meet business requirements and realise benefits within agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
Monitor – Working with the PMO and delivery streams, monitor and report to the Program Director and Project Sponsor on status of financials, risks, issues and progress towards milestones and deliverables.
Stakeholder management - Engage, inform, influence and negotiate with stakeholders, particularly the service delivery teams who will be responsible for the technology services after project completion, and key business stakeholders (as required by the Program Director) to ensure stakeholders remain engaged and committed throughout the project.
Continuous improvement - Leading & Implementing changes that optimise and uplift the program's delivery.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will need to have mastered the fundamentals of project management, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management experience, and be self-driven.
In addition to this, you will have: 5 + years experience leading and managing medium to large programs with complex dependencies.
The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver value for Westpac across a broad range technologies and business areas within the Data domain.
Have a firm understanding of data solutions and how they are used across the organisation.
Able to apply critical thinking and analyse situations or issues for different problems, considering all options prior to recommending and implementing a solution.
Proven track record in successfully leading and managing medium/large end-to-end solutions/projects (technology, processes etc) that combine both technology and business with many of the following characteristics: Teams typically ranging up to 30 resources Partner and vendor management Management of diverse stakeholder expectations, across different business divisions (Up to 5 business areas affected) Indicative cost up to $20M and duration up to 18 months Significant Additional Value (desirable): Financial services experience delivering data solutions (e.g.
new analytics capabilities, data platforms, data management) Experience with Data Products and Data Migrations.
Experience with regulatory projects.
